USED POSTAGE STAMPS IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Send Stamps/Envelopes to PP David Donaldson

The stamps go to a number of organisations overseas including the Rotary Club of Ambattur in India and OXFAM, who distribute through their 620 shops to finance aid for a variety of medical and hospital services, including distress areas such as East Timor.

When collecting envelopes, it is preferred if (say) half the envelope is retained around the stamp rather than tearing the stamp off the corner. This assists the “trimmers”. It also assists if stamps are sorted as to Australia and overseas.

NOTE FOR TRIMMERS
Stamps should be trimmed leaving a margin of about 1/4 inch, and on a single piece of paper. When stamps are “torn” from the corner of an envelope, it is necessary to have them re-trimmed.
