DISTRICT INSURANCE:

Cover exists for the following:

Members of the Rotary, Rotaract, Interact clubs of Australia (including clubs in course of formation and both incorporated and unincorporated clubs), the Boards thereof, and approved Club and District Committees and participants in all Rotary associated activities in, or outside Australia, including but not restricted to, Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd., Students (incoming and outgoing) in the following programmes: Foundation Scholarships, RYPEN, Summer Science Schools and Rotary Adventure in Citizenship, Participants in Group Study Exchange teams, RYLA, FAIM teams and including volunteer workers and honorary members. In the case of Public Liability, cover extends to include host families of exchange students.

RISK COVERED

Industrial Special Risks (Properties):
Club properties of every kind or description and goods in care, custody and/or control of the club, but excluding owner-operated equipment in the care/custody or control of the insured.

Geographical Limits
Anywhere in the Commonwealth of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Asia and South Pacific Islands, including whilst in transit and subject to policy limits:

Limit of Liability $500 000
Excess Payable $1500 (or $500 for personal effects)

Each and every claim.

Earthquake, etc - $20 000 or 1% asset value, whichever is greater.

PUBLIC LIABILITY

Those insured: as previously listed.
Interest Legal liability to pay compensation in respect of:

A. Bodily injury (including death), sickness, shock, fright, mental anguish or mental injury;
B. Property damage, including loss of property arising out of the activities of Rotary.

Geographical Limits
Anywhere in the world, but in respect of U.S.A. and Canada, cover is limited to the insured parties travelling within such countries.

Limit of Cover
$50,000,000 - (molestation $ 2,000,000 anyone claim any one occurrence or series of occurrences arising from one event.
Excess - $1000 for clubs nil for individuals

PERSONAL ACCIDENT

Those insured: as previously listed, but also including prospective club members from the date their membership is approved to the date of induction provided such period does not exceed two months.

Benefits:

Death, paralysis, loss of sight, total permanent disablement, major
Feet or hand and foot (combined) $250,000
Partial Loss - e.g. one eye, one hand or foot $250,000
Temporary Total Disablement (up to 156 weeks) Per week $1000
Temporary Partial Disablement (up to 156 weeks) Per week $250
Medial Expenses (Non Medicare recoverable)
With a limit of any one event, for each injured person $3,000

AGE LIMITATIONS

13-17 years - reduced coverages exist for this group, refer to insurance officer

Accidental Death 80-90 years $50,000 90-95 years Nil.

Medical Expenses
80-95 Years costs (after Medicare fund recoveries) are claimable up to $3000 one event.

No other coverages exist for 80-95 years other then those stated above

TRAVEL (persons 79 years of age and over have reduced or nil coverages in the areas marked **
Those insured: as previously listed.
Cover exists for the above and club members’ partner whilst on official Rotary business (e.g. conventions, seminars and projects and associated business) for the following areas:

Medical expenses incurred overseas **
Loss of Deposits
Loss of Baggage
Electronic equipment must be in cabin hand luggage for coverage to apply with $250 cover up to 5 items
Baggage claims limit any one item $1500
Curtailment Expenses **
Travelling Companion
Loss of Money/Travellers Cheques
Hijacking Expenses
Kidnap and Ransom
Disablement**

Excess - nil for all other claims

Nil deductibles applies to each and every loss in respect to Travel Insurance claims - except for a 7 day period prior to commencement of weekly benefit claim payments.

Geographical Limits:
Worldwide whilst travelling to or from and whilst engaged in official Rotary functions or projects.
Association liabilities


Association Liabilities
Fidelity Guarantee:
Those covered: as previously listed.

Interest: Loss of money or negotiable goods belonging to the insured or for which the insured is legally liable resulting from any act of fraud or dishonesty committed by a member (including club officials).

Limit of Indemnity $10,000,000
Excess (per event) $1000 - $5000 (subject to section of coverage applicable)

Caravan / Trailer Insurance
(Under Rotary Australia National Insurance Scheme - Policy 6 - Optional) $5000 cover

Interest - Trailers and/or caravans (registered in district or club names)
Geographical Limits - Anywhere in Australia.
Excess - $500 each and every claim
Limit of Cover - Premium is based on up to ten (10) unspecified trailers or caravans per District at any one time.
