DISTRICT
GOVERNOR
The District Governor is the only administrative officer of Rotary
International in the District and is directly responsible to the
Board of Rotary International for the administration of the
District. He/she is ex officio Chairperson of all District
Committees. He/she may appoint as many District Officers or
Committees as he/she considers necessary to assist him/her. All
District appointments other than his/her own are made by the
District Governor and coincide with his/her term of office. In the
temporary absence of the District Governor, the District Secretary
may promulgate decisions on the Governor’s behalf, but only on
urgent matters. The District Governor is chairperson of the
District Board and Management Committee, the District Finance
Committee, the Nominating Committee for District Governor and,
together with the District Governor Elect is an ex officio member
of all other District Committees and Joint District
Committees.
